Svart Crown/Witnessing The Fall/Listenable Records/2010 CD Review

Svart Crown are a band from France that plays a brutal form of black metal with a death metal edge, and this is a review of their 2010 album "Witnessing The Fall" which will be released by Listenable Records.

Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with a lot of brutal blast beats, while the bass playing is mixed down low in the mix with some fast riffing which seems to follow the riffs that are coming out of the guitars.

Rhythm guitars combine slow, mid paced and fast riffs together that mixes the most brutal elements of both black and death metal as well as a small amount of thrash influences, while the lead guitars are mostly death metal guitar solos that are also very talented and skilled.

Vocals are a mixture of deep death metal growls and high pitched black metal screams, while the lyrics cover dark themes with somewhat of an anti-christian message, as for the production it has a very heavy and professional sound to it.

In my opinion Svart Crown are a very good band that mixes brutal black and death metal together, and if you are a fan of bands that hybrid these two genres together, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Dogs Of Gods" "Nahash The Temptator" "Strength Higher Than Justice" "Incestuous Breath". RECOMMENDED BUY.
